Aquarium

I have one small 5.5 gallon tank that houses some plants and a family of snails. I am planning on populating the tank with some shrimp once the tank has developed the right environment.

water sprite: I loved the look of hornworts because they share a resemblance with my favorite asparagus fern, but opted for the water sprite due to size constraints. I liked the wide look of the mugwort-like leaves. It grows well in my tank and always has bright little sprouts.
pogostemon stallatus 'octopus': Despite being a beginner plant, I think the octopus plant is one of the more weaker plants in my tank right now. I find floating leaves from this plant the most often, I suspect it is melting but I am unsure of the cause.
dwarf hairgrass: The dwarf hairgrass is one of my favorite additions to the tank. It adds a density and texture that elevates the composition of the tank.
ludwigia repens 'red': The ludwigia repens red loves the aquarium light the most. It's starting to grow above the water and bubbling with oxygen at the top. I wish it was a tad more red to add more color to the tank.
vesicularia ferriel 'weeping moss': The weakest plant in my tank so far, it may need less light than the other plants. I'm the most excited for the growth of this moss. update: It has been replaced by java moss, which has been doing very well in my tank!

Aquarium Wishlist

In the future, I would like to expand from my humble tank. I like to imagine 'dream' aquascapes I'd like to own eventually.

Umbrella Papyrus Tank: I love the idea of a wide tank with an umbrella papyrus as the focus. The find the look of plants growing (intentionally) outside the tank to be chic. I think it would look like a little pond in the room.
Jellyfish Tank: The jellyfish section is always the most anticipated part of aquarium visits and I would love to have them floating in my personal tank someday. If I had moon jellies, I don't think I would ever leave the room. If I was ridiculously rich I would copy the jellyfish globe from Enoshima Aquarium.
Dutch Style Tank: I would not get tired of staring at the vibrant plants in a mature environment. My dream dutch style tank would only have plants and lots of horwort. .

Plants in my Bedroom

In addition to my tank, I have a growing collection of plants in my room. Some of the plants have unusual names, so I'd like to have a little space on this site to act as a respository for them.

spider plant: This one is growing super long roots in my aquarium.
asparagus fern (setaceus): My first love, but unfortunately not the exact plant I bought years ago when I started my plant journey; some circumstances led the plant to wilt in someone else's care. Contrary to the last statement, I find the asparagus fern to be extremely forgiving and rewarding with its fast growth.
asparagus fern (retrofractus): There's something about the delicate silhouette of the asparagus ferns that catch my eye at the greenhouse.
eyelash fern: I bought this on a whim, not knowing the high humidity it requires. It might leave this list sooner that I'd like.
ruby red club moss: The closest I'll get to owning red sphagnum moss for now..
string of hearts: 60 inches of pure love! It's getting hard to deal with the length but my pride won't let me trim it.
golden pothos: This might be the happiest plant in my room, second to my jellycat plant that sits next to it.
heuchera fire alarm: Although not an indoor plant, my affinity for red plants has prevented this plant from going outside. The subtle mix of green in the reminds me of maple leaves in the autumn.
