Rediscovering an old version of Ubuntu (12.04) on my dusty Toshiba NB305, I fell in love with the interface. The particular desktop format you're reading on now is a humble attempt to emulate this distro. The light theme is a subtle ode to Baby Star. Other inspirations include game consoles interfaces and many neocities sites.
